Understanding Waterproof Blockout Fabric

This blind is manufactured using waterproof blackout cellular fabric designed to withstand moisture and humid conditions whilst preventing light from passing through the material itself. The honeycomb construction also helps improve thermal efficiency, making it a practical choice for year-round comfort.

Whilst the fabric itself is blackout, the finished blind is classified as Blockout rather than Blackout because a small amount of light may enter around the edges of the blind. This provides excellent light reduction whilst accurately reflecting the performance of the complete blind system.

Unlike standard blackout fabrics, this waterproof material is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and other high-humidity environments, whilst also performing exceptionally well in bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.
